About Vintage Car Wash
Located at 6815 Preston Rd, Dallas, TX 75205, Vintage Car Wash operates as a car wash serving Dallas in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

Dallas is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Dallas is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I hate leaving a one-star review because Iβve always had great experiences with Vintage Car Wash. They consistently do an excellent job, and my car has always come out looking spotless. If I were reviewing the quality of the wash alone, this would have easily been five stars. The problem is how they handled the situation when something went wrong. Immediately after going through the wash, I got back into my vehicle and noticed a large horizontal crack across my windshield, approximately 14 to 18 inches long. I am confident the crack was not there before entering the wash because I noticed it immediately after getting back into my vehicle. Instead of taking the situation seriously, the manager immediately became defensive and insisted it must have been from a pre-existing crack. There was no genuine effort to investigate what happened or even acknowledge that the wash could have possibly contributed. I asked whether there were cameras, and the manager told me there was one that records vehicles before they enter the wash. However, he also said that even if the footage showed there was no crack before entering, they were still going to deny the claim. Hearing that made it feel lik

Anything more than the classic and you are over paying. The process for the cars is the same and there isn't a difference in attention to detail. Got the super clean and there was still dirt in and around the windows and hair under the seats. The under body of the car isn't touched which is a shame as a lot of dirt build up exists there, you would assume an 80$ car wash would cover that.

A little expensive for what you get. I paid 55$ for my car not to be completely vacuumed the exterior is still dirty in certain areas and seats were not wiped. My car does look cleaner and I can just go over the small things but I wonβt be coming back as the results were pretty mid

Have been going to this location for years, recently the quality of service has declined. Paid $70 + $12 tip upfront for a handwash. My car had dirt that looked like mud behind the passenger side front wheel. I noticed the dirt still on the car once the wash was complete, before I left the car wash. I spoke to a manager who advised me that the dirt/mud was cement and that it would not come off with a normal wash, but they likely could remove with special treatment. He suggested I pay $200 per man per hour and they could treat the area. I went home with a damp towel and wiped the area and the "cement" came off immediately with minimal effort. I understand up charging people who come in needed additional attention or special cleaning; but obviously someone did not even make an effort to clean this area. I feel like the intent was to see if I would pay the $200 for something that took minimal effort and did not need special treatment other than water. Don't attempt to take advantage of your long standing customers.

I love this car wash! They always do such a good job whether you are just getting a regular wash or a full detail. I think the prices are fair for the area. The staff go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied with their work. The bathrooms are always clean, and the shop has some fun finds. As a bonus, there are frequently cookies, and hot coffee!
